Its almost harvesting time, Some of the peas are ready, A couple rows of potato's are finished, and the Carrots are orange and big, I could go on and on about whats finished and whats not.

New Family Members To The Chickens!

The broody chicken finally had little baby chicks! This is our first time to have baby chicks. We have 6 little chicks and a couple more eggs to go, they are so cute:)

Well they are going to be cute until they are loosing their baby fur and getting their feathers. Here's some pictures of the baby chickens... There is one that sort of has a mow hawk and there is some with speckled little dots.









Taking your baby chicks for a little walk I see, just be careful and not go to far now.

Justice has grown so big in the last month we had him. He and Reggie are best friends.

Shilo and Justice seem to howl together...They are doing it unevenly though... Try together boys!

There you go you finally got it! Try that at night boys, you might scare away the coyotes.

Baby Chicks???

21 days ago our chicken wanted little baby chicks, thats called "Broody". When the chickens are broody they stop laying. They have to sit on their nests for 21 days. Today and tomorrow we should hear little baby chicks chirping.

They have to be under the Mother for about a week. Tyrell and I are also looking for Smirkies kitties. She has them hid in one of the wood piles we have.We have big huge long piles so we will be looking for them for quite awhile.

Right now I am looking after the banana loaf we have in the cook stove. When I mention that the cook stove is on that means it has to be at 300 degrees. Can you imagine that in a small tiny cabin 300 degrees!?!?

Anyways I thought I would do a quick blog post.

Fall

Well I really hate to say this but I think its fall. The days are getting shorter, Tips of the trees are yellow, and the grass is yellow also. When its fall Mom loves to paint. Mom and Meg are painting the shed right now.

I am just waiting for the water to boil and then I can do the dishes. After the dishes I am going to paint the other side. Mom doesn't really let me paint so this is going to be fun. I love painting, even number painting.

For school I did a really neat number painting. When I find it I will take a picture of it and then post it on here. For now I just have to find it. I think I know where it is. A couple weeks ago I bought my camera.

My camera chip is full believe it or not, I will be deleting them all and then taking more pictures todays events. Tonight I think I'm going to be reading, that is after milking the cow. Swiss mocha got dehorned last night.

She looks weird right now. I have her tied to a tree with a long long rope so that she is playing with her goat friends instead of following me around the property. The house is really clean. I am starting to like my little routine I have.

In the morning I wake up and have breakfast and go on my favorite sites on the computer. After do the dishes and go outside and feed Swiss mocha. Later I do little chores. Reggie just follows me around where ever I go.

Anyways the waters hot so I will do another blog post.

Book Reading

I thought I would do a quick blog post. Nadine and her kids came up for a visit. It was sure nice to see them. When they left Megan and I got water from the spring. It takes along time to fill up so Megan brought some books along.

She is reading another book right now. I am reading " That Certain Spark" by Cathy Marie Hake. She is a good author I think. I am half way done the book , well almost. Its about a Women Doctor coming into town and everybody thinks its a bit weird I guess you could call it.

Karl he is a black smith and has a crush on The Lady Doctor, Taylor. He doesn't admit it. One day he had an accident, he burnt his leg bad and he had to see the Doctor. The burn was really bad she had a choice to amputate it or just let it heal. She chose let it to heal.

His leg is better and he is joining up for a barn raising and she is just taking care of children now. That's as far as I`m at. Page 165. Megan says she has a lot of books for me to read when I`m finish reading this.

I am going to go to the library also to have a look. Anyways have a great night:)

Wordless Monday

An Average Day

Well lets see here.... In the afternoon Dad and I went to town... I guess you could call it a " Father/Daughter Day". We had to pick up the weed eater that we dropped off to get fixed, turned out that it was toasted so we had to buy a new one.

I went to The Health Food Store and bought a few snacks for the family, And I also bought a couple of juice. One bottle for Jesse that has no sugar and only has Grape Juice.

And the other is a Soda Pop which is a glass one that I can use for Swiss Mocha because the one that I'm using is just a plastic bottle that shrivel up into a ball... Swiss Mocha and Romeo are getting big.

Wordless Tuesday Part 2

I know this is wordless Tuesday post but I thought I would do a couple sentences. I just arrived home yesterday night. Megan picked me up. I will be doing lots of blogging this week. Well I will try to anyways.

Wordless Tuesday Part 1

Summer Days

I am soooo sorry that I didn't do a blog post this week. I was meaning but didn't get around doing it. I am at Alises right now for the weekend... Well I am going to stay here for abit... I arrived here Wednesday and get to stay for a week I think.

A couple days ago I painted the green house with Debbie while Alise looked after the baby. We went walking yesterday after supper and I would say we walked down the road and back in about an hour... Not to sure how far it was.

Last night when we were locking her chickens in her pen she had me close the gate and window while she was watering their dishes. When I was about to close the door she squirted me!!!!

Can you imagine that! Your own friend squirting you on purpose. When I was coming out she accidental pushed the handle bar and got water on my hair and then I had to run to the house just in case she would do that again!

Before I left my house Tyrell's goat Virgina gave birth to a boy and a girl. They girl was mine and of course she looked like coffee so I named her Swiss Mocha and Tyrell got to keep the boy and he named it Romeo. Yup just like "Romeo oh Romeo where art though Romeo".

A couple days just after she was born we had to pull her because we want her to be very friendly and a milk able goat. Mom and I milked Virgina for food so that we can bottle feed Swiss Mocha. I will up load some pictures when I download the pics onto my computer.

She just loves me alright. She though I was the Mom in about 1 hour. It is soo cute because when I am finished feeding her I got out of the pen then she starts to cry and cry and tries to jump out.

One day she got lucky, she figured out how to jump out of the pen so we had to close the gate instead of having a piece of ply wood by the two poles. She got out with me not knowing and just followed me around.

Finally I noticed and it is so funny. She is always following me around the yard. With me not there she will think that Mom will be the Mom. I can't wait till I get to see her.
